Welcome to Hellesdon High School, a popular and successful school serving the north-west fringe of Norwich. Currently we have 1,250 students on roll, and over 300 in the Sixth Form Centre. HHS became a Leading Edge Academy on 1 April 2012.

Ofsted: a Good school

Exam success... again!
For the third year running, HHS has enjoyed record GCSE results. In 2012, 72% of our students achieved five or more GCSEs at grade A*-C, including English and maths. Across all the subjects, 85% gained five A*-C grades. Our Sixth Form students also did extremely well once again, with an excellent average points score of 777.

Pastoral care
At Hellesdon, we take pride in knowing every child as an individual. Pastoral care is organized through Heads of Year, Tutors and Mentors, with all our staff playing a part. The School has a friendly atmosphere and a well-publicized anti-bullying policy.

Sixth Form
In September 2013, the Hellesdon Sixth Form Centre comes into being, offering a wide range of courses at AS, A2 and BTec. The new website is under development.

Parents/Carers
The School enjoys the active support of the PTA and all of our parents and carers, who have access to the latest information about their children’s progress through the Learning Gateway (login required).

Café DinerMite
Our excellent kitchen was given a five-star rating at its inspection at the end of July 2012. DinerMite serves up an inspiring selection of nourishing food every day.

Community
Hellesdon High is a lively school with active links with the local community and our feeder primary schools; activities and courses for adults are also based at the School.

Sport
We offer a huge range of sporting activities to all students, including training in leadership skills, opportunities to take part in local leagues and competitions with other schools, and to enjoy many extracurricular clubs and activities. Our students campaigned to save School Sports Partnerships, which they felt had helped young people in our area to get into and benefit from sport.
