Instrumental and singing lessons
At Hellesdon High we offer instrumental lessons to those pupils who want to take their interests in music a stage further. Our teachers are all experts on their instrument and will set you challenging targets to achieve.
Unfortunately not everyone is able to get lessons at school because they are so popular - but don’t let that stop you. Keep telling Mr Brown and if a space becomes available, you never know: he might be able to fit you in.
Woodwind Lessons
Mrs Godfrey teaches everything from Flute to Bassoon. If you play a woodwind instrument, you will have to join the Wind Band.
Brass Lessons
Mrs Smith teaches all the brass instruments. She also teaches at our three largest feeder schools, so will probably know about you already.
Guitar Lessons
We have two guitar teachers because it is so popular. Mr Cooper is in charge of all the guitar teachers in Norfolk, so he is really good, and Mr Hadingham is one of the coolest dudes around.
Drum Lessons
Mr Skinner teaches drum kit and percussion, so he has plenty of work to do.
Cello Lessons
Mrs Stowell knows exactly what is required of a teacher and has taught music all around the country. The cello is a great instrument ("No, it's not a saw!" – High School Musical quote)
Violin Lessons
Mr Ames not only teaches violin and viola but he also conducts the string ensemble which you will join if you have lessons in school.
Singing Lessons
Mrs Ball is a great teacher. She will find your voice and lead you towards the great art of singing, which is not as easy as many people think.
Keyboard Lessons
Ms Walker can teach keyboard and piano, which is just brilliant.
