Key Stage 3 Music
In the first 3 years of music in high school we want you learn about the 3 most important skills in music: composing, listening and appraising (although it is also called discussing the music). In each scheme of work you will have the chance to do all of these things.
The early years are all about discovering music and ways to make music, and the later years (end of Year 8 and Year 9) focuses on rock and pop music.
These are some of the projects you might study in Key Stage 3:
- Programme Music
- Minimalism
- Composing and Performing using Chords
- Singing Skills
- The Guitar
- The Blues
- Composing and Performing a Pop Song
- Film Music
