Thank you to everybody who attended our PTA Race Night with BBQ on Friday 13 July. The proceeds will go towards new seating for the School grounds.
The Winners were as follows:
Race 1. Carole Marshall-Nichols was the winning horse owner and jockey. For her £4 investment, she won a meal and drinks for two at the Whiffler Pub, and a box of chocolates.
Race 2. Congratulations to Claire Gunn whose winning horse God Speed rewarded her with a £50 voucher to spend at Signature Hair Salon, Bridewell Alley, Norwich.
The winning jockey was Basil, who won a box of chocolates.
Race 3. Mes Filles was the winning horse. This was owned by Matt Brown, and for the cost of just £3 to buy the horse, Mr Brown now has a £25 voucher to spend at www.ProSportUk.com
The winning jockey was the ever-lucky Peter Jones! He paid £1 to be the jockey for horse no. 8 and went away with yet another bottle of wine.
Race 4. Horse no. 7, named Dad’s Nag by The Best of Norwich, romped home to victory, and Sara and Chris Greenfield, owners of The Best of Norwich, now have a £25 book token, donated by The Gift of Words.
The winning jockey was Mandy, who won a box of chocolates.
Race 5. Dawn Milligan paid £3 to own horse no.1 and named it Alfie. It was the first to cross the finishing line, winning Dawn a case of wine.
Ruth was the winning jockey.
Race 6. B & M Cleaners owned the winning horse which was named Winkle! Bryan Clapham was there to claim his prize of £35 worth of goodies from Hotel Chocolat!
Congratulations to Heather, who was the winning jockey.
Race 7. King Pin was the name of horse no. 7. Mark Pinner was the owner and he now owns a £25 iTunes voucher as his horse romped to victory.
Carole was the winning jockey again, and she won a DVD.
Race 8. For this race, the horses were auctioned. Basil, who bought the winning horse, won £40!
All losing tote tickets were put into a box, and there was a prize draw at the end of the evening. Well done to Cheryl Pinner who won a 12ft swimming pool generously donated by Newson Pools.
