Welcome to Hellesdon High School, a popular and successful school serving the north-west fringe of Norwich. Currently we have 1,250 students on roll, and over 300 in the Hellesdon-Taverham Sixth Form Centre. HHS became a Leading Edge Academy on 1 April 2012.

Exam success... again!
For the second year running, HHS has enjoyed record examination results. In 2011, 84% of our students have achieved five or more GCSEs at grade A*-C, and 67% including English and maths. Our Sixth Form students also did extremely well, with an excellent average points score of 787. We are proud of all of our students’ achievements, which are a tribute to their hard work and that of their teachers.

Pastoral care
At Hellesdon, we take pride in knowing every child as an individual. Pastoral care is organized through Heads of Year, Tutors and Mentors, with all our staff playing a part. The School has a friendly atmosphere, and there is a well-publicized anti-bullying policy.

Sixth Form
At Sixth Form level, Hellesdon works in partnership with Taverham High School. The joint Sixth Form Centre offers a wide range of courses at AS, A2 and BTec.

Parents/Carers
The school enjoys the active support of the PTA and all of our parents and carers, who have access to the latest information about their children’s progress through the Learning Gateway (login required).

Community
Hellesdon High is a lively school with active links with the local community and our feeder primary schools; activities and courses for adults are also based at the School.

Sport
We offer a huge range of sporting activities to all students, including training in leadership skills, opportunities to take part in local leagues and competitions with other schools, and to enjoy many extracurricular clubs and activities. Our students campaigned to save School Sports Partnerships, which they felt had helped young people in our area to get into and benefit from sport.
